- Synopsis
- This map shows North Korea and the adjacent countries. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left of the page when the image is the correct way up. There is a small key on the centre right of the page. North Korea is in the centre of the page. Part of China is in the top left of the page. A very small section of the east coast of Russia is in the top right of the page. Down from North Korea in the bottom centre of the page is South Korea. In the bottom right corner of the page is a very small part of the north west coast of Japan. The border and no-mans land between North and South Korea is marked by a heavy line. This continues to the left as a heavy dashed line showing the division of territorial water. Just down from the left end of this line is the very small island belonging to South Korea but claimed by North Korea. There are three ballistic missile facilities and three nuclear test sites in North Korea marked on the map. The map is surrounded by an image border. Within the image border the textured (blue on large print) areas represent the sea.
