- Synopsis
- These six pages each show an image of a circle with additional geometry. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left of the page when the image is the correct way up. The first circle has a vertical line going down the page from the circle centre (O). This line cuts a horizontal chord in the bottom of the circle into two equal halves. The second circle has a vertical radial line from the centre to the bottom of the circle. The circle sits on a horizontal tangent line. The third circle has a tangent line to the left and right which meet at a point (P) in the bottom right of the diagram. The fourth circle has a chord in the bottom. A line from the right and left ends of this go up and left to meet and form an angle at the circumference on the left. Another two lines from the right and left ends of the chord go up and right to meet and form an angle at the circumference on the right. The fifth circle has a quadrilateral in it with all four angles marked. There are two formulas relating to the angles at the bottom of the page. The last circle has two triangles whose base is a chord in the bottom right of the circle. A tangent is marked at the bottom of the circle which goes right to a point P.
