- Synopsis
- This page shows a labelled diagram. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left, when the image is the correct way up. The diagram is a vertical line calibrated with a number of calories going from only 1,500 at the bottom of the page up to 4,000 at the top of the page. There are countries marked to the right of the line at the position of that country's individual daily calorie intake. At the top right of the page is a bracket with a label meaning people whose daily intake of calories is between 3,500 and 4,000, are often overweight and experience heart problems and breathing difficulties. In the bottom right of the page is a bracket with a label meaning people whose daily intake of calories is between 1,500 and 2,000, calories are often underweight and malnourished suffering from kwashiorkor, marasmus and rickets.
