- Synopsis
- This is a labelled diagram of showing all the constituent colours of white light except red being absorbed by a red filter. There is a locator dot shown, which will be at the top left of the page when the image is the correct way up. The beam of white light is a mixture of various colours of light. It starts on the left of the page and travels to the right where all the colours except red are absorbed by the filter, which is seen from the side to the right of the centre of the page. The beam of red light that has passed through the filter can be seen travelling to the right to the right of the filter.
