Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre: Aufbau Ablauf Führung Leitung
by Wolfgang KorndörferDie "Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre" -geht man von der Bezeichnung des Faches aus - ist die Lehre vom "allgemeinen" Wirtschaftsbetrieb schlechthin, dessen Erscheinun gen und Probleme sie zu beschreiben und zu erklären und für den sie praktische Entschei dungshilfen bereitzustellen hat. Da es den "allgemeinen" Wirtschaftsbetrieb in der Praxis jedoch nicht gibt, orientiert man sich in der betriebswirtschaftliehen Literatur meist am Industriebetrieb, da hier noch am ehesten alle betrieblichen Funktionsbereiche mehr oder weniger intensiv angesprochen werden. Sehr viele Abhandlungen zur "Allgemeinen Be triebswirtschaftslehre" haben deshalb den Charakter von sog. "lndustriebetriebslehren" mit besonderer Betonung der Zusammenhänge im Produktionsbereich. Auch bei der vor liegenden Untersuchung steht der Industriebetrieb im Mittelpunkt. Es soll allerdings ver sucht werden, alle betrieblichen Bereiche mit annähernd gleichem Gewicht darzustellen. Dabei läßt es sich jedoch nicht vermeiden, daß entsprechend dem jeweils behandelten Bereich dessen natürliche Beziehungen zur korrespondierenden Wirtschaftszweiglehre (z. B. Finanzbereich = Bankbetriebslehre, Material-und Produktionsbereich = lndustrie betriebslehre, Absatzbereich = Handelsbetriebslehre) stärker betont werden. Daß dabei die in den betrieblichen Teilbereichen zu fällenden Einzelentscheidungen nicht alle behan delt werden können. liegt in der Natur der Sache. Wir haben jedoch versucht, die für die einzelnen Bereiche jeweils typischen Entscheidungen aufzuzeigen. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden "Allgemeinen Betriebswirtschaftslehre" soll der Leser mit dem gesicherten Wissen einer modernen Betriebswirtschaftslehre vertraut gemacht werden. Dabei spielt die betriebswirtschaftliche Theorie nur insoweit eine Rolle, als sie erforderlich ist, um bestimmte Zusammenhänge in der Unternehmenssphäre erkennbar und überschaubar zu machen. Im Mittelpunkt steht vielmehr die Betriebswirtschaftslehre als eine angewandte Wissenschaft.

by Volker TeichertAlternativen zur Erwerbsarbeit? Dieser Titel klingt auf den ersten Blick für den einen oder anderen Leser sicherlich sehr provokatorisch. Ist doch unser herrschendes Wirtschaftssystem fast ausschließlich auf Erwerbsarbeit aufgebaut, die im all gemeinen das Leben der meisten Menschen in erheblichem Maße beeinflußt. Die Erwerbsarbeit bestimmt über die zur Verfügung stehende Freizeit, die Dauer der Urlaubszeit und die Möglich keiten, in der informellen ökonomie aktiv zu werden. Auf ei nen kurzen Nenner gebracht: Sie gibt die Rahmenbedingungen vor, an denen sich alles andere auszurichten hat. Selbst die Arbeitslosen leiden auf ihre Weise unter dem Aus schluß von der Erwerbsarbeit: Sie reagieren oft mit psychoso matischen und psychischen Krankheitsbildern sowie mit Apathie auf ihre Erwerbslosigkeit. Da mag es für viele Leser geradezu zynisch klingen, wenn hier von Alternativen zum Erwerbssystem gesprochen wird. Diese Alternativen gibt es aber in der Tat, sie dürfen jedoch nicht so verstanden werden, als würde neben dem Erwerbssystem noch etwas bestehen, mit dem die Menschen ihren Lebensunter halt allein finanzieren könnten. Worauf aber mit diesem Band hingewiesen werden soll, sind die Bereiche, die jenseits von Markt und Staat existieren, und die in aller Regel von der herrschenden ökonomie nicht als wertschaffend und wohlstands fördernd angesehen werden. Sie haben für das kapitalistische Wirtschaftssystem aber durchaus ihre Bedeutung, indem sie Wohlstand und Wohlfahrt dieser Industriegesellschaft verbes sern helfen.

It is intended primarily at the graduate level for students in operations research, management science, applied mathematics, and eco nomics. I hope that I have been able to give the reader an accessible introduction to the subject of nonzero-sum dif ferential games with particular emphasis on applications. It would be irrational to try to re ach total com prehensiveness in a single volume. Therefore, I have resisted the temptation to "over-cannibalize" previous textbooks and monographs on the subject. It has rather been my desire to cover material that (I think) is impor tant and interesting, but gets left out of these publications. Writing a book is quite a game. In the beginning -before c10sing the binding agreement* with Plenum-I believed this to be a fi·nite horizon game. by Ira H. BernsteinLike most academic authors, my views are a joint product of my teaching and my research. Needless to say, my views reflect the biases that I have acquired. One way to articulate the rationale (and limitations) of my biases is through the preface of a truly great text of a previous era, Cooley and Lohnes (1971, p. v). They draw a distinction between mathematical statisticians whose intel lect gave birth to the field of multivariate analysis, such as Hotelling, Bartlett, and Wilks, and those who chose to "concentrate much of their attention on methods of analyzing data in the sciences and of interpreting the results of statistical analysis . . . . (and) . . . who are more interested in the sciences than in mathematics, among other characteristics. " I find the distinction between individuals who are temperamentally "mathe maticians" (whom philosophy students might call "Platonists") and "scientists" ("Aristotelians") useful as long as it is not pushed to the point where one assumes "mathematicians" completely disdain data and "scientists" are never interested in contributing to the mathematical foundations of their discipline. I certainly feel more comfortable attempting to contribute in the "scientist" rather than the "mathematician" role. As a consequence, this book is primarily written for individuals concerned with data analysis. However, as noted in Chapter 1, true expertise demands familiarity with both traditions.
