This is an open access book.Numeracy has become the current buzzword in the world of Indonesian mathematics education since the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdikbudristek-RI) launched the Minimum Competency Assessment (Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum - AKM) program. Together with literacy, numeracy is the minimum competency measured in the AKM. This policy is expected to foster a learning culture that places students as the main focus, as well as the shift of the paradigm from simply teaching the content, to developing the students’ competence in a constructive and adaptive manner.Currently, there are still many mathematics teachers who are not familiar with numeracy, which is followed by various misconceptions and misinformation. One of the efforts of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for QITEP in Mathematics or commonly called SEAQiM in supporting teacher professionalism is through the International Symposium on Mathematics Education and Innovation (ISMEI). This symposium is initiated by SEAQiM and is held every two years. This activity is a space for disseminating works and exchanging ideas about innovations in mathematics education for teachers, education staff, policy makers, and related stakeholders.In 2022, ISMEI will be held for the seventh time with the theme being Transforming Education by Reimaging Numeracy Learning. Through this theme, ISMEI invites education practitioners to transform education by reviewing mathematics learning practices to develop numeracy and discussing its potential in the future.

Education is an effort to educate people, through education the quality of human life becomes better, and it is captured and realized by all Muhammadiyah universities in Indonesia, especially from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Science. The problem that occurs is the need for a lot of innovation related to the implementation of learning in the classroom so that the learning process becomes more enjoyable. Thus, students will be more eager to learn and their academic achievement will be better, which of course has implications for the quality of education which is also better. Therefore, the Association of Muhammadiyah Higher Education Teaching Institutions (ALPTK-PTM) in collaboration with Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong (UNAMIN) dan Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong (UNIMUDA) as the local committee initiated the holding of The 7th Progressive and Fun Education International Conference (The 7th Profunedu) which was held on 8-9 September 2022. The conference invited eight invited speakers from international speakers and Indonesian speakers. In addition, the conference was also attended by 115 participants and presenters with 107 papers listed. The 7th Profunedu this time collaborated with the Atlantis Press in the paper publication process. From 107 papers listed, 30 papers were selected to be published by Atlantis Press as publishing partners in this conference.

The implications of technological, economic and social trends are intervening factors that refine pedagogical strategies, leading to the molding of TVET as a more effective platform to catalyze pragmatic approaches to prepare the workforce for the new imperatives of the world of work.Regional integration and harmonization of TVET in the region have become key concerns and at the same time the strength of the ASEAN region. In regard to this, the educational process does not run optimally. In fact, education is the process of developing the future generation of a country that are supposed to supported by all parties while looking for solutions to the problems at hand. As part of social sciences, the objects of historical study include humans who are bound by the dimensions of space and time. This confirms that history is part of science that is tied to human life. Therefore, various policies taken by the government must also be reviewed from the past historical experience with adjustments to the conditions of the era. Moreover, historical experience will provide an idea that humans are always innovating to solve the problems they face, especially policies related to education and learning.Based on those problems, History Education Study Program of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta will hold an international conference on "Future Teaching and Learning: A Disruptive Innovation." Henry O. Pollak Chairman of the International Program Committee Bell Laboratories Murray Hill, New Jersey, USA The Fourth International Congress on Mathematics Education was held in Berkeley, California, USA, August 10-16, 1980. Previous Congresses were held in Lyons in 1969, Exeter in 1972, and Karlsruhe in 1976. Attendance at Berkeley was about 1800 full and 500 associate members from about 90 countries; at least half of these come from outside of North America. About 450 persons participated in the program either as speakers or as presiders; approximately 40 percent of these came from the U.S. or Canada. There were four plenary addresses; they were delivered by Hans Freudenthal on major problems of mathematics education, Hermina Sinclair on the relationship between the learning of language and of mathematics, Seymour Papert on the computer as carrier of mathematical culture, and Hua Loo-Keng on popularising and applying mathematical methods. Gearge Polya was the honorary president of the Congress; illness prevented his planned attendence but he sent a brief presentation entitled, "Mathematics Improves the Mind". There was a full program of speakers, panelists, debates, miniconferences, and meetings of working and study groups. In addition, 18 major projects from around the world were invited to make presentations, and various groups representing special areas of concern had the opportunity to meet and to plan their future activities.

The risks of the pandemic Covid-19 – hit the world in 2020 – have brought in a real jeopardy; new crises, new problems, new challenges that have radically changed ways of living of human beings in all continents and in all aspects of their daily activities. The issue of sustainability as the core principle to govern the today society – social, cultural, political and education – has been more prominent yet faced more difficult and unprecedented challenges. The academic conference addresses the issue of sustainability of social, education and political values, traditions and activities pursued by human beings in their daily life as now have been entirely affected by the pandemic. On the one hand, there is an inherent risk of the modern living, the vulnerability of human being and the power of nature that must be not only understood and learnt but also institutionalized and structured in various arena of social life of the people. On the other hand, there has been a tremendous change on the ways the social features of human living – from simple informal meeting/gathering of neighborhoods to daily shopping, formal working at the office/home, school teachings, professional football matches, elections and government/state ceremonies – being re-defined, reconstructed and carried out with online/virtual media. This new social fabric – thank to the Internet! – will eventually re-shape all established social institutions – states/government bodies, private companies, churches/religious organizations, schools/universities and so forth – on their approaches and serve the populace as well as their adaptation and change to survive and sustain.

ICEHoS is the second conference held by us and will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 Pandemic which has not shown a better situation.The 2nd ICEHoS 2022 conference is expected to be able to bring together national and international scale researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and community and industry activists in our chosen fields.
