Is RNIB Bookshare GDPR compliant?

Yes we are GDPR compliant. 

What data do we collect?

For staff (Primary Contact and sponsors):

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Job role
  • Organisational Email
  • Organisational Address
  • City
  • Country
  • Postal Code
  • Phone

For learners (member):

We do not hold any member information centrally. Member information stored only on the organisational account and viewed by Primary Contact and Sponsor accounts.  

Where do we store data?

All personal data is stored in the UK. We request that you anonymise learner details where possible.

What safety measures are used?

Information is stored in mythic beasts, with various technical safety measure provided.

How and when it will information be deleted?

It is deleted when the account is no longer active. We routinely analyse account usage and have processes in place to contact account owners and delete data if contact is not made within a suitable period of time.

What is the process for withdrawing consent? 

To opt out services users just need to contact any of our customer contact points.
